The School has now finalised requirements for our iPad/BYOD program for 2018.  Each year the School reviews the program along with minimum requirements.

  • K –  Year 4 students will use school owned iPads (at school) and be provided with school managed Apple ID’s.
  • Year 5 – Year 8 will require their own iPad at school with their own personal Apple ID.
  • Year 9 – Year 12 will be required to Bring their own device, laptop or tablet.

Minimum iPad requirements from Year 5 are any iPad capable of running iOS 10 or later and be of 32Gb capacity or greater. As outlined in the Bring Your Own iPad Policy(available online) the expected life of an iPad in a classroom situation is two years, though this has generally been longer depending on capacity and specification of model purchased.

Minimum device requirements for Years 9 – 12 are any Windows or Apple laptop or tablet (including iPad) that is capable of running current operating systems and software.

For parents needing to purchase a device, an Online Store, provided by the School’s supplier, Mac1, is available at https://portal.mac1.com.au/fahan/. It is not a requirement that you purchase through this option.  You are welcome to purchase from any IT supplier.
