Each year the School reviews the iPad/Bring Your Own Device program and we have finalised requirements for 2017 and these are outlined below:

• K - Year 3 students will use school-owned iPads (for use at school only) and be provided with school-managed Apple IDs. (K - Year 4 from 2018)

• Year 4 -Year 8 students will continue to bring their own iPad to school and require a personal Apple ID.

• Year 9 - Year 12 students will be required to bring their own device - iPad/tablet or laptop.

Minimum iPad requirements from Year 4 are any iPad capable of running iOS 10 and of 32Gb capacity or greater. As outlined in the Bring Your Own Device Policy (available online) the expected life of an iPad in a classroom situation is two years, although this has generally been longer depending on capacity and specification of model purchased.

Minimum device requirements for Years 9 - 12 are any Windows or Apple iPad/tablet or laptop that is capable of running current operating systems and software.

Android devices are not supported.

For parents needing to purchase a device, an Online Store, provided by the School's supplier, Mac1, is available at portal.mac1.com.au/fahan for your convenience. It is not a requirement that you purchase through this option. You are welcome to purchase from any IT supplier.
