“I knew I wanted to be a teacher since my fourth year of Uni.
After graduating from the I.I.T., Delhi, I worked for one year in a research program, developing polymeric implants for humans, which was very exciting, after which I switched to my first love – teaching.
For 11 years I taught postgraduate and graduate programs at Delhi University, India, and at the University of Papua New Guinea, respectively.
Once my own children started going to school, I switched to high school teaching (and never regretted it!) and taught high school Maths, Physics and Chemistry for 4 years in Darwin, for two years at the Friends' School, and since 2004 at Fahan School, which I love and hope to remain at till I retire.
In dealing with my students, I learn almost as much as I teach”
